The Trigg Morris Website - Bodmin Cornwall

On 12 May we went off-piste to Coombe
(i.e.dancing without a Pub !)
And the people of Coombe joined in
(There weren't quite the right number of sticks for one dance...)
The first dance-out in 2022 ?
Trigg was encouraged to join with friends Tywardreath Morris at the New Inn
Lots of folk gathered there on St Piran's Day (March 5th)
and "The Song of the Western Men" aka Trelawney was sung
and musical session ensued....
There was apparently a similar rendition at the Morris Ring Meeting the same night
(But no photos are forthcoming - so it is only hearsay)
Trigg was subject to an investigation by the BBC !
It seems the BBC are following up the instigation of our Minister of Culture
- British Traditions are under the spotlight.
Their eagle-eyed investigator Jack Murley came to see us practise
He put a very furry microphone under our noses and put us on the radio
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0br77j7
and he even persuaded us to practise with bells on
- so that he could have a dance with us as well.
Thanks Jack !
Plymouth Clog
Our friends The Plymouth Maids from across the Tamar have re-branded themselves
They are now Plymouth Clog https://plymouthclog.wixsite.com/plymouthclog
He is a noted chemist, singer and writer of many Railway books, but to us he's still a dancer
What's the Point ?
The Ordnance Survey in their wisdom started leaving concrete blocks around in 1936 and these are called Trig points
Some people even go so far as to bag them - even though they no longer have any functional use.
We wish to point out that they have nothing to do with ourselves, or our bagman
We are considerably more colourful, mobile, musical and made of flesh and blood
But here are some of Trigg pointing so you can tell the difference.
