Big changes for Trigg Morris Men

Trigg recently held their Annual General Meeting when Paul Reece was chosen as Squire Elect to follow in the footsteps of Phil Champion when he stands down at the end of the 2018 dance season. Paul is one of our members with much experience of the Morris having in the past held the post of Squire of the respected Thaxted Morris Men in Essex.

Another big change for our members is the relocation to a new practice venue. For around a quarter of a century dance skills have been honed during the winter at the BCA Rooms on Mount Folly, but with the sale of the building by Bodmin Town Council a new venue is required. We are pleased to say we have been offered sanctuary at the Walker Lines Gymnasium, Normandy Way, Bodmin where we will start on Thursday 23rd November at 8 pm.

As always anyone interested in the Morris, whether experienced or novice, are invited to get in touch. You could then enjoy some of the fun we experience as a team when practising & performing.

During December we will visit a number of venues when we will present our seasonal Mummers Play alongside the usual music & Dancing.  Some of the venues will be Thursdays; Nov 30 The London Inn, Summercourt, Dec 7th The New Inn, Tywardreath, 14th The Bell Inn, Launceston, 21st The Masons Arms, Bodmin & Sunday Dec 17th The Blisland Inn from noon & Lanhydrock House at 3 pm.
